Hi guys! I tested today and found out that I'm pregnant again (4th cycle TTC)! I tested early, of course, so I'm still paranoid of a potential chemical pregnancy or something, but I am cautiously optimistic. EDD Sept 22.
I haven't told DH as I am away from home for a night. (I actually tested this morning at home and it was ambiguous, so I confirmed on my own while out.) I want to tell him in a cool way like by putting DS in a "big brother" shirt. But I need to get one FAST if I am to do that. Do you know if target sells these? Any other suggestions for breaking the news?
I am terrified even having done this before and wanting it crazy bad for the past 6+ mo. Those of you who are pregnant or who have your second (or more) kids already will have to calm me down. But obviously I am thrilled as well.
I really hope the other Dec 2010 moms who are TTC get pregnant very soon! I will be checking on the TTC Tuesday posts for updates.
ETA: Here is the update with DH's reaction -
After I posted in this thread that I'd be headed to Carter's Saturday, I was actually walking through the city which I needed to do anyway to make my train connection, and lo and behold there was an Old Navy en route. Thanks to you guys for mentioning it, I went ahead inside and sure enough they had a "best big bro" shirt. I bought it in 3T so it would be useable in the fall when #2 is born but forgot that ON runs small so it fits DS now kind of snugly. Oh well. Anyhow, I put DS in it right after we got back from picking him up at daycare. DH took like an hour to notice, but he was SO excited and happy! He also loved how I "told" him. He's like, "is that a different shirt from what he was wearing before?" and I said, "yeah, see what it says." He's like, "best big bro..." (and took a sec) then his face got really excited and I showed him the pee stick. He also wasn't annoyed that I had tested early. And he said he didn't suspect a single thing. And he was amazed I could keep it from him for a little over a day.
Re: BFP, cautiously! (updated for story)
Congratulations! I don't recall seeing those shirts at Target - DH was with me when I checked the test (I put it under a wash cloth and then we went in together after 2 minutes), so we both knew at the same time!
It's incredibly exciting and also scary as heck when LO throws tantrums realizing there's another one on the way, but you will get through it!
Sending sticky vibes your way! GL!
I thought having 2 would be impossible but it hasn't been too bad. Challenging at times? Sure. I usually have to remind myself I used to babysit 45 kids including infants in the mix and never batted an eye and we would all have fun. But having my own...I've always been nervous that they outnumber me now lol.
See! Your timing was great! Congrats!
I bought one from target in June and never got to use it. They only had one left. Gl finding one!
Congrats!! DS's "I'm going to be a big brother shirt" was from cafepress.com, I think. That's how we told our families.
& his actual "Big Brother" (and "little sister") shirt was from Carters.com.
GL!
Yay!!! Come hang out with me on sept13 right now!
I got hazel a big sister shirt (well actually it was a pj set) at Carter's a couple weeks ago. It was all I could find.
ETA: I just realized you already introed there. Woooohooooo
Yay, congratulations!!! Target definitely had a LS big bro tshirt at least as of several weeks ago. I remember b/c it was really cute but made the comment out loud that "we sure don't need that!", lol!
I'm so happy for you!
YAYYYY!!!!! So happy for you!
I think Old Navy sells those shirts too, but I am not sure if they have them in store or if they're online only. GL!

Try a local tshirt place. I had one made for O when I was pg with G. It was cheap, maybe 9, and I got to choose the color and font. I was also able to pick it up later that day.
Congrats!
If you're still looking, I've seen the shirts at Gap and Carter's
BFP #2 5/27/12. EDD 2/1/13. m/c and D&C 6/21/12.
Anyhow, I called Carters and they have the shirt. But I can't go until I am out tomorrow anyway. I will make an excuse not to test in the morning and then get the shirt on the easy back home. Then put Ds on it after his nap our during a diaper change. Will let you know how out goes!

YAY! Congrats! It IS scary as heck, but you've got 8 or so months to get used to the idea (actually not sure if that really makes a difference, though! LOL) It's challenging for sure, and it takes a few months to get into a groove, but it's not as hard as I thought it'd be. That is, as long as you don't need a lot of sleep...
H & H & sticky vibes!
hahaha! I love that it took him an hour to notice. Sounds just like my DH!
Congrats again! So happy to hear y'all are both excited!
