Brisk & Breezy Girl Names

I have the book The Baby Name Wizard and I seem to like quite a few names under a category the author calls "brisk and breezy". Examples of names that I like in this list are Brooke, Blythe, Bree (only as a NN though), Lane, & Reese. Of these names the only ones we are seriously considering are Brooke, Lane, and Reese.

I was wondering if you ladies had any suggestions for other names that fit in this style. Also, we were trying to think of any longer names that Lane could be a nickname for. The only ones we could think of is Delaney and Elaine, which we really don't like.

Re: Brisk & Breezy Girl Names

  • We are going with Alaina (A-Lane-a) and calling her Lainey for short. Lane could also work for that?

  • Loading the player...
  • I think the name Reese is awesome!!

Other breezy names could be Blaire, Avery, or Keira.

Ha,ha, Keira was on our list too. We threw it out because of spelling issues but we're thinking of bringing it back. :)

  • I like Nina, Lana, and Blair.
  • Brynn?  I love Brooke and Reese, but not Lane.  Lane is a boy name.  I like Delaney nn Laney.

  • I like Brooke and Reese of those you listed. Sorry I don't have more suggestions.

eta: I like Keira too (spelled this way).

  • adalaine could be a longer name for Lane.
  • My cousin's daughter is Alaina and goes by Lainey so Lane would definitely work.

  • I was really worried that this post was going to be about two little girls named Brisk and Breezy.

  • I don't think I like the spelling of Alaina. It just looks weird to me. I know some people pronounce Elena the same way, although the only Elena I know pronounced it Ellen-uh.

    Other suggestions:

Reed (I actually love this name on a girl)
