video monitor?

My girlfriend is getting ready to have her second, and her first is 18 mos.  the kids will be sharing a room indefinitely.  im getting her the motorola video monitor and am wondering if having 2 cameras is necessary, or would one work fine?

    If it's the one that you can move the camera left/right and up/down she'll be fine with one camera. We have the one with a 3.5 inch screen and can move the camera with the parent unit. We have a camera in with our big boys. I can move the camera where ever they are in the room since we put it up in the corner near the ceiling.

    You can certainly work w/ one.  I bought a 2nd when expecting #2.  I used the 2nd camera in my room in the early months, since that's where he slept at night he took naps there, too.  The 2nd camera now resides in the play room.  So if she has another place in the house where she will ever leave the kid(s) the 2nd camera is totally worth it.   But you can buy additional cameras separately so you can leave that decision up to her.
