July 2013 Moms

Ladies, please promise me...

That we will never have this ridiculous argument. I can't believe I just wasted 10 minutes on that...

We are all grown ups and know not to get offended by nonsense, right?

  • Wowwww... That started out ridiculous and just got worse. Is it typical here for mods to be sh!t stirrers like that? 'Cuz I'm not sure I'll stick around if that's the case.

Depends on the tone of the board and the mod.

This kid may not have a lot of bowel, but he has plenty of guts!
DS born at 34 weeks with (surprise!) gastroschisis turned short bowel syndrome.
131 days in the NICU, 7 trips to the OR, G-button, daily TPN....
We are impatiently awaiting the day we can say goodbye to his girlfriend Ivy for good.

    hahaha nice.

  • We've had milder versions of the BTDT vs. FTM.  I believe yesterday we had one about PP sex. I am with some of the other posters, usually a FTM won't have experience with baby detergent or poop explosions. That doesn't mean they can't have an opinion or try to help.

A good friend of mine is not a mom at all, but a FT nanny with a ton of experience with infants and such. I know its not the same as having your own kid and you get to go home at the end of the day. However, I take her advice on some things because that is her job. She's helped me as much as some of my mommy friends. FTM are inexperienced, but they aren't stupid!

I always think it's funny when BIL tries to give me advice. He is a pediatrician, so clearly, he is educated, but they dont have kids yet. So he will tell us something, but then he will try to actually do it with li, like when she was 2 months and it took an hour and a half to give her a 4oz bottle, and he sees that all of his theories go out the window.

Yeah, not all of the advice works (just like some other mom's advice for their kid might not work for mine), but I think its nice of them (or your BIL) to try!

Whatever dude.  My FFFC #3 for the day today is that I secretly despise you for being a BTDT.  I'm a FTM.  Its been explained clearly to me.  I'm a jet.  You're a shark.

    Deal with it.

    Jets RULE!

    Time for a July '13 dance-off?

Heck, I'll take advice from anyone as long as it seems reasonable.

Yep. Think that's what it has come down to.

(Does this make KDG Officer Krupke?)

Definitely. Where is she? We need to get her a whistle.

Keep hair dryers away from your vag. Best advice I've gotten from this board so far.

Also, ironing clothes on your body is bad. I hope this advice helps.

I also want to put on West Side Story to watch the dance off in the gym. Russ Tamblyn was fine.

That thread reminded me I needed a bikini wax, so the ridiculousness wasn't for nothing.
