Upper right rib pain = boy?

I was telling my supervisor that I've started getting sharp pains in my upper right ribs, usually a throbbing or ache - she immediately said I'm having a boy as she had the exact same pain with her son.  We're not getting our A/S for another 11 days so I'm curious if anyone else has had these pains and if so do you know the gender of your baby?

I was thinking, if boys carry higher then I guess it would make sense that my ribs might have to start expanding to make room, but then again I'm completely assuming that's what happens :p

    My dr said baby doesn't  come a bove your belly button until 20 weeks. So it would seem odd that it would putting that much pressure on your ribs already. But maybe I'm way off. Um you have a 50% chance of bring right in your guess. You'll find out for sure in 11 days.

    I have not experienced any of the pain you are talking about, and I am having a boy. Like a PP stated, you have a 50/50 chance either way.

    I think the OWT was that girls carry really high, and boys really low? I carried really high with my DD, to te point that I had to move her butt out of my ribs during 3rd tri. It hurt!

    I just don't think there's any way why you are experiencing has anything to do with the sex maybe it is a gas pocket under your ribs.

    I should clarify, my pain isn't constant, it randomly comes and goes.  At first I thought maybe it was gas but it's a specific area and it never ached before the pregnancy so I'm assuming it's pregnancy related.

    Also, I don't actually think the pain location specifies gender, I just thought it would be fun to see if anyone else had this that maybe had a boy since my supervisor seemed so sure :)

    I had a pain like that over Christmas break.  When I called the doctor they said it was probably indigestion.
