Do you?

Decorate for Valentine's Day?

I think a tradition I have adapted and kept up with is having a fancy tablescape for each holiday.

I do not have a lot of Valentines decorations; mostly glass vases and jars full of roses, hot tamales, red hots, red starbursts, and sweet-tart ball things! OH! Cinnamon or flowery candles too!

Re: Do you?

  • I was actually going to buy some table stuff at the dollar store today. But didn't. Maybe I will soon

  • Not really. Not a bunch of decorations. I have a few I might put out. Most are kid art.

  • No, but I'd like to. I plan on shopping after Valentine's Day for decorations for next year. I did frame something I got from a website but that is it for now.
  • Not really but DH and I aren't big valentine's Day people. I may make the boys heart shaped pancakes this year but that's about it.
  • I probably will when Cara is a bit older and can get involved. Maybe next year.

  • I have a few things I try to put out - mostly things I've gotten at Michaels after the holiday on clearance.

One of my crafty goals is to make some sort of table runner for each holiday/season so the table always looks festive.  Ditto the idea of tea towels, I change those out.

I'm also decorating a large (blank) wall, and I want to have a shadow box on it that I can fill for each season (candy hearts for Vday, or little miniature bulb ornaments for Christmas, etc).

I'm toying with the idea of making a lit canvas for in our living room for each season/holiday too.

  • Nope.  I only decorate for Christmas.

  • I don't do much. I do put a nice arrangement in the middle of our dinner table with reds and whites and since our front door has a big glass I may put some of those stickers you can put on glass or something like that.

  • I never have before, but this year I'm trying to change that by making some cute, Pinterest-y stuff.
  • I usually put a few little things out. I try to change out what hangs on our front door with each holiday/season.

I used to live by this house that decorated for every.single.holiday. Literally. Presidents day, memorial day, lincoln's birthday, Derby, Valentines...I loved seeing the different decorations.
