Just for fun, what song(s) did you totally sing the wrong words to until someone corrected you or you looked them up? For awhile I thought "Secret Agent Man" was Secret Asian Man....oops. Embarrassed

I thought "Apple Bottom jeans, Boots with the fur" was "Apple Bottom jeans, danced with the fern".....I got corrected after a few years of singing it wrong...

Forever I though she was saying ' you don't need nothing at all but me' turns out she's saying ' you don't mean nothing at all to me' I thought the song was all romantic... nope its about one night stands and hooking up! HA

as a side note.... This video made me think that Timbaland is stupid sexy. It's not a physical thing but the way he is makes me want to pow through the tv and maul his face. Stick out tongue

DH is half Chinese. His brother and he used to sing "secret Asian man" while twirling rakes doing yard work.

I can't think of any that I've done (though I'm sure there are many), but for years my mum thought that "dirty deeds done dirt cheap"(ACDC) was "dirty deeds done with sheep".

My DH thought that the AC/DC song that went: "Dirty deeds, done dirt cheap" said "Dirty deeds, dunder chief." Stick out tongue I laughed my a$$ off forver on that one. I know I sing a lot of things completely wrong, but for the life of me I am not remembering them right now.

I thought that "I wanna come over, to hell with the consequence!" was really "I wanna come over to HELP with the consequence." I was something like 5 years old. My mom didn't want to correct me because she thought it was hilarious and sweet...and she didn't want to have to explain the song's meaning to me.

Also, my best friend's little sister got the words wrong to "In The Past", a song from Disney's Anastasia...she ran around the house singing "in Japan!" We laughed so hard at that poor little girl!

For the longest time my sister and I sang, "Hey Jessie." instead of "Hey Jealousy." By the Gin Blossoms. We didn't realize we were wrong until like 10 years later when we sang it in the car with another friend and got made fun of the entire car ride.

I thought it was "hey Chelsea."

The one I was most ridiculed for was "hot blooded." I thought it was "hot buttered," like a dinner roll. Yum.

You just completely confused my  husband. He thought you were saying it was "dust on the bible" and not "dust on the bottle" I had to correct him.
 
I used to get Panic at the Disco's song "I Write Sins Not Tragedies" wrong. I thought it was "poisoned rationality" instead of "poise and rationality."
 

Well, this one must be mine since you just told me. LOL. I just sang it today as poisoned.

Not a song, but when I was little I thought that the seagull in "The Little Mermaid" said "the prince is marrying the sea witch in the sky" when he really said "the prince is marrying the sea witch in disguise".

Also, my dad always sings "play that effing music white boy". I'm pretty sure it's on purpose.

Way back when Color Me Badd came out with "I wanna sex you up" - I thought it was "I wanna set you up!" I was singing it in the back seat of my mom's car and my mom flipped the channel and told me she will not have her 11 year old singing about sex. Woopsies!

Either this is a very common one to mishear, or he got it from Friends. There is an episode where Phoebe says she thought it was Tony Danza, lol, cracks me up everytime.

ha! No, an italian that kinda looked like Tony Danza but with curly hair. That's so funny, I can't remember that from the show at all!
