I used to post here and decided to join back in now that I spend a lot of time sitting with a baby on my boob! Nora arrived 12-19. I was induced after a NST at the doctor's office didn't show what they wanted. I was sent to the hospital where further monitoring decided based on her heartrate induction was best for her. Pitocin started, broke my water, and then I was only 2cm when her heartrate dropped to a mere 20. The room filled with tons of people preparing for emergency c-section. They stablized her enough to have a high risk dr do an ultrasound, which showed baby had the cord above her head, and her hand on the cord, so it was being crushed between her head and hand! Some very painful manuevers later they were able to move her hand, so then the cord moved down. I labored on eventually, always with the risk the cord could move back up, resulting in a c-section. All night nurses stared at my monitors and moved me constantly trying to keep baby's heartrate ok. It was a long scary process! Luckily I then went from 6 to 10 in an hour, and 4 minutes of pushing she arrived, cord around her neck twice. So blessed she is here and healthy! One ounce bigger and half an inch longer than her big sister was, and 5 days late just like her sister

its scary to think if I had gone into labor on my own, that heartrate drop would've happened before I was at the hospital. We could have lost her if I had been laboring at home instead of induced. Induction happened for a reason and Im thankful it all worked out!
