time to really focus and get to goal weight!

I've never posted on this board before, but I am 8 months PP and fed up with these last 10 pounds. I gained 40 with DD, lost about 20 from birth/first few weeks after birth, and then another 10 from breastfeeding. I am still breastfeeding, but the weight loss seems to have stopped. So i joined a gym that offers childcare, and took my first spin class today. I am normally a runner so i never tried spin, but it was great!! my butt is killing me and my tailbone hurts (broke it having DD and I guess its not 100% healed). but i felt like i really accomplished something when the class was over!

I would actually like to lose 15 pounds to get to my ideal weight, so im gonna really focus on consistent exercise and eating right (as i type im eating a reeses......oops). Then maybe i wont be so depressed about these stretch marks! lol

  • The bad part about spin is the first week...you have to find a new way to sit down!  But you do gradually get used to i.

  • Good luck!  I still am trying to lose the last 15 pounds of baby weight too.  It's hard, and very frustrating.  Keep up with the exercise and I'm sure it will happen!

  • According to recent research, water and green tea is the best way to lose your weight. I took 8 to 12 glasses of water gradually and 2 to 3 times cup of tea in a day. And now i feel much difference in my weight.
  • Good for you!  Spinning is a great workout.  I've been doing it for years but in the beginning, I used a gel seat.  It was a bit of a pain to remember to bring it each time but I found it really useful.  Eventually, once you get used to the positioning of the seat, you'll want to take it off and you'll be fine.  Additionally, if you plan on sticking with it, get some spin shoes because pedaling becomes so much more efficient.  Good luck.  Between watching your caloric intake and getting regular exercise, I have a feeling those last 10 lbs will come off before you know it.
