Daily Community Threads

Maybe this is just me, but after a couple weeks of doing them on the new schedule, I'm not sure that it's really working out. The former Wednesday ATP/PCP/TTC, now "Community Check-in" seems to be low on posts and I seem to be the only one starting it (which is fine, but ideally it would be community driven).

Do we want to change things up? I wonder if we moved the "Pregnancy Check-in" and "TTC Check-in" threads to the same day if that would help. Or we could drop both of them and just all post on Wednesdays regardless of family-planning/creation/parenting stage.

What do you prefer?

(I'd make a clicky poll, but it doesn't seem to be working right now)

I agree with you. I don't post in the Community thread because it would be the same as what I'm posting in the TTC thread, and I'm sure there are others posting in the TTC or Pregnancy threads who are doing the same.

When I asked people if they wanted to do separate threads, several people said they did. But then when you started doing the Community thread again, several people said they were glad it was back. Maybe we do need a clicky poll.

I think moving TTC and Pregnancy to the same days make sense. The the old school community check in would be a free for all for everyone (not that any thread is off limits to anyone, but ykwim). Don't forget we had the holidays in here too. I know I didn't really post for a few weeks because of holidays and being out of the country.

I think we should move the ttc thread to the same day as the pg thread and keep the community check in on Wednesday too :

I post when I can in the thread that most pertains to my situation, but I pretty much read them all. So I'm fine doing it however it works for everyone else. I'm going to try to stay up on it all anyway!

I second putting the TTC and Pregnancy threads on the same day and keeping wednesday the community thread. I really like reading this thread to see where everyone is as I generally don't check the TTC thread all the time.

I don't want to get rid of any threads as we have people here all over the board on life.

I'm torn. I thought the TTC/Pregnancy/ATP thread was a great way to keep up with where everyone is at, but I also completely understand (and support) the rationale behind splitting the threads. We have five or six regulars who are all having trouble TTC, it's nice to be able to have some discretion over how many pregnancy updates you read and when you read them. And I feel a bit more comfortable talking about cervical mucus in a TTC-devoted thread.

I'm in favor of keeping the current threads as is, but putting pregnancy and TTC on the same day, and making the Wednesday check in inclusive for everyone. I would also love if someone took over Friday Fluff for madison while she's not posting from work - it's one of my favorites.

Themommymonster, where are you? I count on you to start PIP Thursdays.

I second hlke's point. TTCers might not want to have to see tickers, etc.
