acne and mirena *repostfrom 6-9board*

So I had the Mirena iud placed a little over 2 weeks ago and now im experiencing really bad acne. Its soooo horrible like from when i was a teenager. I know its listed as a side effect but cmon! Has anyone else experienced this and is it just temporary? Thanks

    Idk, but I wanted to say I have acne as bad as my teenage years and that started when I started the mini-pill. plus I gained 6 pounds. uhg.  I hate contraceptives.  hope its temp for ya

    I had Paragard put in and my skin has become craaaazy. There was an article in Feb's cosmo about skin becoming addicted to hormones and when they change or stop all together it can wreak havoc!
