A Little Depressed...

So it has been a long time since I have been on here. My son was born in may of 2011. He was premature but thankfully when he was born he didn't have any complications. Before they tried inducing me the. Neurologist came in and talked with me about how my son may end up having some developmental delays. Well everything has been going smooth foe the most part. Yes my son didn't start crawling until about 10 months and he didnt start walking until almost 18 months. Well now he is not talking. We are working with the early intervention program in our state and I am being told that my son is pretty much a 612 month old in a 19 month old body. We are going to have to start working with a teacher 1on1 to try and get him caught up. I realized that he was a little behind but never realized that it was quite a bit more than I originally thought. Just needed to get some of this stuff off of my chest.

(((hugs))) I won't pretend to know what's like to be in your shoes because I don't, I can only say it breaks my hearts to imagine your heartbreak. And it's OK to be a little depressed, we are here to listen! Positive T&P your way, mama!

Hugs! I know it is frustrating to feel like your LO is behind but at least you have already started taking the steps to catch him up. It sounds like you are doing everything you can and I would just try to remember not to compare him to other LOs.
