outfit for pictures
What is your LO wearing for their 1 year pictures? I need some inspiration. I'm making a tutu for A to wear for the cake smash but I still need something for the rest of the photo session. What are your LO's wearing? Pictures or links would help!

I'm just going to put her in some of her nicer outfits that we have - things she doesn't wear on a daily basis. I actually have grown to really dislike the tutu trend so we will not be doing one of those!
I have a lot of ideas on pinterest but I can't link them because work won't let me!
We're pretty much doing the birthday thing twice. Lauren's 1 year anniversary of her open heart surgery is March 29th and I think we're doing a small party and definitely a photo shoot. I'll probably get her a Valentine's day dress to go with the heart theme.
I'm always going to picture you in tutus now! forever and ever....

Goldenleaves, I LOVE the heart theme for her party/anniversary of her surgery. That is so cute and such a great thing to celebrate! I was just eyeing Mud Pie's Valentines line this year and they have some adorable outfits!

That's okay, I like to hear what all the babies are wearing
I'm torn on her cake smash outfit. Her nickname is Laney Bug. So I've been looking at ladybug tutus, shirts, and bloomers on etsy. I thought about a red tutu or pettiskirt and a big chunky necklace.
This is the dress Aria will be wearing for the pictures and the party. I ordered a fuchsia satin bow/headband from Etsy to go with it. At least for the pictures, I plan on having her go barefoot, and painting her toes pink.
These are the bloomers that I'll have her wear during the cake-smash part of her pictures and party. I didn't want her in clothes (since her cakes will be pink, and I don't want them stained), but didn't want her in just a plain diaper either. I have a pink pouf hair bow at home that should match them perfectly.
I think I went a tad overboard... but she only has one first birthday!

Making a tutu is sooo easy if you have about 2 hours to spare. I googled no sew tutu's on YouTube and started it on Sunday. I just didn't feel like finishing it yet. It's so much cheaper than buying one.
I agree, it is so easy! Once you get the hang of it, it's even faster. I've made Lina so many that I can finish one in about a half hour now.

And lancy, I'm seriously considering stealing Aria's dress for Lina. I love it!
I just loved that dress!! But if you want it, you better hurry! They were selling out when I ordered Aria's! I actually had to order it in the 18 month size. Aria's long, so it should be fine. If not, my Mom does sewing and alterations and can fix it.
