I'm a little late also as Aiden Anthony was born 12.22.12
At 1:27am my water broke while I was watching tv at home. I started freaking out because my husband was at work, and my mother was knocked out! So, while I'm keeping myself calm, I eventually was able to wake my mother and stepfather, text my husband my water broke and wait for him to get to the house.
The rest is really short. We got to the hospital about 2:30am and when I went into triage, they checked me and said I was 3cm. Meanwhile, the contractions started coming and I really started feelin it! I started hyperventilating as it was making my sons heart rate decrease. Half hour later, they wheeled me to my birthing room, where I immediately got an epidural. About 3:30, the doc came in again to check me, and surprisingly I was 6cm after an hour.
Well, the medicine knocked me out cold for about 3 hrs. I felt a lot of rectal pressure so I asked if the doc could come in to check me. She came in at 6:30 and said, "the head is right there!" (please keep in mind I was sleep pretty much). The nurses came in, told me how to push, I pushed twice and six minutes later Aiden was here! It all happened so noone had time to even cry. But I'm in love with him!!
Aiden Anthony 7lbs 3oz.
