Ian is covered in a red rash, pretty much from head to toe. It's not raised and he doesn't have a fever. He hasn't had anything different to eat and is acting normal. Any thoughts?
Madison has a rash on her forehead, just like you described. She seems perfectly fine, I actually thought she bumped her head but now I'm thinking rash. Not sure if I should call the doctor or not...
Ian's started last night and was just on his torso. It is literally covering him from head to toe...I can see it in his hair. It's red, splotchy, but not raised at all.
You know, he was sick for a week! Just got to feeling better yesterday. Now that I think about it, hasn't Molly posted about this before. I've always just kind of skimmed over the posts because we've never dealt with a rash so I didn't think the post was relevant to me. Guess I should start paying more attention, even if I think stuff isn't relative. Thanks ladies!
He never had a fever consistently, and it never gor above 100.6. In the 8 days that he was sick, he had a fever maybe 4 days, not in a row and it would only be once or twice a day on those days.
He was recently sick right? It could be the virus coming out. I've heard of that happening in babies.
This. DD had a rash last week. It wasn't head to toe, but it started on her neck, and eventually spread to her face and parts of her torso. She wasn't acting sick at all and didn't have a fever. We took her to the doc just in case and were told it was just a virus. He said to let it run it's course, unless she got a fever and started acting like she was sick. It spread a bit more before it got better. But all in all, she had it for about 6 days.
DS just got over a very similar sounding rash. He had a fever of 103.8 on Dec 28th, went to ER was told it was a virus. He starting throwing up/poops on the 1st and 2nd, then that stopped and he got a cough and runny nose and rash on the 3rd 4th 5th 6th 7th and then bam, disappeared . We took him to the doc on Saturday and she said the rash was viral, and it's a bad season for viral infections.
Ashley...Ian's started with a runny nose and cough on Christmas Day. Then that Sunday he started with diarrhea and throwing up for the next 8 days, and still had the cough and runny nose. I thought that the tummy issues were because I'd switched his formula but even after switching back it stayed around for 3 more days. I'm not completely convinced that the tummy stuff wasn't some sort of virus. He is definitely feeling much better now. Still has a nasty cough and the rash but hasn't had tummy issues since Tuesday and no fever since Sunday. Will be glad when the funk leaves him for good!
