food processor for baby food?

Has anyone used a food processor to make baby purees? Just wondering if I can get away with not buying a blender just for the kiddo. I have this - will it do? Thanks!

Re: food processor for baby food?

  • I use my food processor. I do not have blender or baby bullet.

  • I was using my regular bullet, but it is old and not running so well.  Got the Baby Bullet for Christmas and I LOVE it and would higly recommend it!

I actually love my Cuisinart Smart stick for baby food more than any other appliance.

This!! Clean up is a BREEZE! Just click off the stick and wash it and stick the bowl you used in the dishwasher.... :o

  • I'm sure that will work.  The baby doesn't eat food that is pureed for too long, so you definitely don't need to buy a fancy gadget.  Before you know it, you'll be able to just use a potato masher or a fork to give them their food.

I had a blender anyway and I also have a magic bullet.  If you wanted to buy something, the magic bullet is very cheap and it's handy for making things for yourself too.  It's cheaper then buying the baby bullet and it's basically the same thing just without the baby jars and extra things.
