So, I am starting to plan our 1st Birthday, and...

it was going to have a Sock Monkey theme... but now I am second guessing the theme... I really like it, don't get me wrong... but I almost want to start thinking of other themes...

 gah... well, good thing it is still 4 months away! I have time to change things up a bit....

what other themes are you guys going with, or have thought about? Thanks

    I've made a pinterest board pretty much dedicated to themes. I don't plan to go big on the 1st birthday but I can't stop looking at them either. Plus I'm a pin-aholic.

    My sister did a sock monkey theme for my baby shower.  It was cute!

    She cut out a bunch of sock monkeys with a cricuit and found some games online.

      We are doing a Very Hungry Caterpillar theme.  I'm very excited about this.  I don't have a crafty bone in my body, but I am bound and determined to do this myself (with help from the fam).  I'm definitely doing the lantern caterpillar over the gift table.  Also, filling baby jars with skittles, paining the lids and writing Caterpillar Food on them.  All different colored table cloths (red, orange, green and yellow), with some kind of fun centerpiece. Anyway, just getting started, so I've got awhile to figure it all out. below are some inspiring pics.

    I'm thinking mickey, under the water theme (since is room is).. not 100% sure yet. I want to start planning it soon too! 4 months is going to go fast!

    Lucas will be Spot the dog! I love party planing it keeps me sane in the winter. Plus my oldest bday is in May too do I'm planning two parties for May.

    I have also started planing a 40th bday party for over a year away for my best friend

    We were planning on a BBQ and a "Yay! We kept the kid alive for a whole year" sign. There will probably be a cake too. That's probably about it for us.

    Something similar for us. His nursery is yellow/gray chevron, so I will carry that into the party.

    ok, I think it's official now... (well, about 95% official, im still on the fence and will jump to something else if I like it better)

    our theme will be the Very Hungry Caterpillar! I love the bright colors, and it associates the food being served with what he ate in the book...

    and now I have a pinterest board with tons of this theme on it haha

    I was a may mama but had DD 9 weeks early and still pop over from time to time but am more active on the preemie board, but I am super excited to be planning DD's bday party and saw this post!! We are having a circus themed party for her! All rainbow color scheme, carnival games, prizes and food. We are going big this year, she only turns one once!! All your themes are adorable, I can't believe we are planning 1st birthday parties! And pinterest is AWESOME!
