How early did you show with your second? I realize I am about 7 weeks along (we think, still need dating u/s to confirm) but I have atrocious bloat, and even though I was in prepregnancy jeans since 2 weeks pp I am back in stupid maternity pants. My weight is exactly the same as it was when I found out about this pg, but it is getting hard to try and hide from the people who I see on a relatively regular basis.
I actually had someone call me out two weekends ago and say "you aren't pregnant again are you???" I just kind of laughed it off, because I am the worlds worst liar, and if I would have said anything I think the response would have been something closer to "wait are you really?" rather than the laugh and dropping of the conversation that did happen.
ugh. just needed to get this out... and see if anyone had relatable experience.
Re: for those with 2 close to 1 year apart.
Yes, the bloat was out of control in first trimester the second time around! I also wore maternity pants at 7 weeks. I got a stranger comment at 9 weeks. It sucked. lol.
The bloat let up a bit around 13 weeks though I visibly had a small bump. I did grow quicker but it evened out at the end--I was smaller with my second than I was the first at the very end.
Thank you for posting this! I'm 11 weeks and it seriously took me 10 mins this morning to find a pair of jeans I could button because I couldn't find my be band.
Maternity pants are coming out tonight!!!! The bloat is out of control and I've only gained 4lbs.
My 2 are 13.5 months apart. I actually carried my 2nd so much nicer than my 1st. I had that horrible bloat and thought I'd never be able to keep it a secret. Around 12 weeks it went away and I had the tiniest belly. I wore my regular jeans all the way up until he was born. I only gained 6lbs with him.
I showed much earlier with #2. I had to tell people by 11 weeks and even then people said they knew for weeks already! I don't think I was really showing with #1 until I was 14 or 15 weeks.
(Mine are 16 months apart, btw.)
I remember I caved and got out maternity jeans early. I vividly remember my OB saying "wow already" and I was probably less than 15 weeks pg but I just needed to be comfortable.
I carried DS much lower and he was like a watermelon between my legs. I never dropped with DD and was very small but he was HUGE. I had much more ligament and back pain too (but carrying a toddler around definitely added to that pain).
