**LatteLady**

How did your appraisal go?  I just found out ours appraised at the selling price so we are moving in 3 weeks!  Eek!  Hope yours went well too!

  • Where's Latte?  I also wanted to let her know my DH will be working in her town tomorrow.

  • I wasn't on TB all day yesterday! I'm so glad everything went well with your appraisal. Are you excited to move?!? You know, appraisals are kind of an annoying thing. Did you know the appraiser knows what the buyer offers and often times just looks around and says "yes, the house is worth this much."

We have kind of a different type of loan so it was really important that the house appraised for MORE than what we are buying it for. We want to roll our closing costs into the loan to avoid being house poor :P

We got the results from the appraisal back and I'm stoked! It appraised for about 30 percent more than what we're paying for it! There are a few minor issues that have to be settled before we can close. A couple of places where paint is peeling need to be fixed but other than that everything went well. I am so relieved. Buying (and I'm sure selling) a house is stressful stuff!

Missy, that's cool your DH is spending the day here. It actually smelled TERRIBLE outside yesterday. Sometimes it just reeks of that big factory that's here. Blek!

I've told DH before that I'm sure we've probably crossed paths somewhere in life without even knowing it. Isn't Nora's birthday Oct 3? That's Natalie's too. I am sure we at least know some of the same people. We'll have to do a GTG in the spring time :)

  • Yeah!  Ours appraised at the same cost the buyer is paying so that worked out just great!  We were afraid it would appraise too low and the buyer would back out or something, but so far so good!  It is stressful!  I am excited to move, but we don't have anything to buy yet (this all happened too fast).  We are going to have to stay with my parents for a few months so I'm not really looking forward to that, but it should be ok.  Good luck with your move!  How exciting!

Oh bummer about living with your parents but maybe you'll be able to save a little money to go towards a new house! We have been working to buy this house since October. Between the offers and counteroffers and all the added stuff that goes along with the foreclosure, I feel your stress. I actually feel like now we're finally at a place where we're getting close to closing and I can get excited. I'm really glad your house appraised well :) T&Ps the rest of the process goes smoothly :)

Yes, that is her birthday! We will definitely have to meet up this spring. I may go swimming at the indoor water park soon too. Nora loves water!
