Reset button hit

So I have been MIA for a couple of weeks. My parents were in town for the holidays, which meant lots of family time. My niece slept over a bunch of days, we hosted a family brunch and then half of us ended up with a stomach flu for new years day. Well the new year is here. Continuing to pursue adoption but also starting to explore surrogates. My goal is to have our baby room occupied this year (the sooner the better). Needed to find a new lawyer since our original messed things up legally pretty badly. I have spent time educating myself on all the different state laws and will never solely trust a lawyer again for information.

Welcome to all the newbies I noticed on the boards and wishing our 1/2 marathon runners at Disney this weekend lots of luck. Happy New Year to everyone.

I'm sorry for your pain and loss in December. New year, new start? I like the idea of a reset button. Hoping your baby is in that room immediately, if not sooner!

Love that attitude. Reset button is a great idea. I am about to hit mine too. Just gotta get an answer to the taking care of my mom situation first... Glad your family is feeling better. May you be blessed abundantly in 2013!

Welcome back. :-) I'm glad that you did some research and feel more empowered with regard to understanding the states' laws. I'm like you. A researcher by nature, I always feel so much more in control when I have at least some level of knowledge about what I'm getting involved in.
