i have a 3wk old &now she seems to be more hungrier than usual..i am curious to know those of you that have 3wk old or older how many ounces is your Lo taking? today i fed her 3oz &she seemed pretty happy &full afterwards.
im not quite sure how much she's eating since i've been BFing, but she's been eating more often. Sometimes the normal 15 minutes some times only 5 or 10. I heard that there is a 3 week growth spurt, so maybe its that?

It took me an HOUR to feed Mili tonight. And its an hour and a half later and she's hungry again. My boobs are dying here. When I bottle feed her its usually 2.53oz
My daughter will be two weeks on Thursday and she has been consistently eating 3 oz since about a week old. It seems like a lot but the pediatrician said we can give her that much and when we tried to give her less she was hysterical. You can definitely tell that she was still hungry. I am pumping and BF and supplementing with formula. When I BF she still eats 1.5 to 2 oz after about 30 min of BFing.
DS eats anywhere from 2 oz to 4 oz a feeding, and it varies, with no real pattern. He does eat predictably about every 2.5 to 3 hours. We start with 2 oz and give him 1 oz at a time after that until he's full.

My LO is 2 weeks today, and this is exactly how things work with us. Glad to see we're consistent, because I was wondering about this too.
Great thanks everyone just wanted to see if i am on the right track..i appreciate it alot! I am a ftm so i was wondering how the other babies werr eating!!! My Lo is on track so far 3oz usually fills her up for about 3hrs or so! 2oz and shs wants to eat every 2hrs!
My DS is all over the map. He will take anywhere between 2-4oz during the day, usually up to 6-7 before bedtime (mine, not his) and then 4 or so during the night. He was eating every three hours at night about 4oz, but now is waking up almost every two to two and a half hours and taking snack size amounts. I have been bottle feeding since the beginning bc he didn't latch well and once I started with the bottle he just got frustrated with the breast. It's hard to figure out how much to give him at a time, especially in the middle of the night. I don't want to warm up too much. I usually warm up one of the 4 oz bottles I have made and then depending on how much he takes, keep it by the bed for the next time he wakes up. I usually try to pump another time after he takes a bottle at 11pm just so I have a room temp bottle next to the bed.
Doesn't really answer your question, but I guess my LO is unpredictable. He is six weeks and three days now so hopefully I get him regualted by the time I go back to work or daycare is going to need a large stash of my BM in their freezer!
