I ended up having an unplanned CS last go round, and after much discussion, decided to have an RCS done this go round.
I'm currently 20 weeks and wondering do doctors typically still check for dilation/effacement the weeks before going in to be on the safe side since it's already been decided?
Re: Does the Dr check for dilation for RCS before scheduled date?
By 'to be on the safe side', do you mean to make sure you don't go into labor ahead of your cs? I have very intense timeable and painful BH's for three weeks before my RCS with DH. I also started real labor at the hospital while they prepped me for my cs. The doctor checked me two or three times before my cs, but only after asking me if I wanted her to. The onset of labor didn't seem to cause any complocations for my RCS. However, I want my doc to be sure to deliver this one again, so I'm going to have her check me during my last few appointments if I feel like something is going on down there.
