Am I the only one that doesn't understand the Facebook groups? I feel like nobody here knows the next from Adam, why are you jumping to FB with them?

Entertainment, getting to know people better, learning things (even though YOU think people are stupid), ultrasound pics, yeah. To each their own.

Most BMBs wait a little while so people are a little more comfortable doing it. Down the road it is nice to have that method of communication for stuff like birth updates and more personal stuff like who is on hospital bedrest since people tend to update FB before signing in to post here, but this early its just a huge joke.

You don't have to friend people to join the group. So, other members in the group can see your real name (or whatever your facebook name is), but if your profile is set to private then they can't see any of your other info.

Oh geez. Most people that I know have where they work, their family members, their phone numbers, etc on their personal FB pages. Because I didn't know that you didn't have to friend people to be in the group, I incorrectly assumed that people who had joined the group were, in fact, comfortable sharing that with a bunch of posters they didn't know.

Assuming and all that.

I actually got kicked from one of the groups because my profile was 100 private and it freaked someone out cause I don't make pictures of my friends or family public _ truth is you never know if there is a creeper looking at your bumps, ultrasounds, and newborns. You should be aware of that before opening up your private information on any website. Given it wasn't August birth month group I don't find it that any facebook group would be okay with it. I am not willing to try another if I must put my profile public enough to where everyone can see my life just to prove I am not an old man creeping on preggos. _ But I just switched to TB from babycenter, hopefully less paranoia here.
