    A lot of recalls are dumb [Bumbo?] but I figured it was worth a heads up.

    It's funny to me that anyone would call the manufacturer because they found mold in their baby's seat. I would first be surprised and then a little ashamed that I had let it get to this point. Finally, I would clean it. It would never cross my mind to call the company that made it. I'm amazed they rec'd so many calls about it!

    I actually washed the removable pad every 1-2 weeks and wiped the inside down and STILL noticed 4 spots of mold in the bottom part.  I was pretty frazzled when I noticed DD had been sleeping on it for 1-2 weeks!  I still love the RnP though, I hope they figure out how to make the layers where this won't happen!

    Thanks for the info!  I was scared I was going to have to get rid of it and I was scared.....The RnP is the only thing that got me through the first 3 months!

    I don't have one and I don't fully understand the whole mold issue (is it a problem with the product, or really just a matter of not cleaning it well???), but my cousin knows a woman whos preemie baby passed away in her RnP last year and they disovered some mold in it when it was inspected.  They never linked the two, but this recall has really hit the mom hard.  Like I said, I don't own one or know what the problem is exactly, but I though her story was so sad. :-(
