another roadtip post

Thanks to those of you who suggested the dvd player. DS couldn't see it very well because of where I had to put it, but listening to movies kept me awake the entire trip.

We did really well today - a 12 hour drive that ended up being 14.5 with all the stops we made. DS did really well, except for a few times when he was ready to stop before I was: "Mommy isn't stopping this car until we cross the state line, so eat your crackers and be happy!" Yeah...I'm compassionate. (Nothing was actually wrong - he was just read for a break twenty minutes too soon.) He paid me back by pooping right before we got back into the car, so I had to take him BACK to the bathroom.

Tomorrow is our "short" drive, which will bring us to our new home...and then the house-hunt begins.

I apologize for my random post without commenting on any others, but hopefully I can catch up on everyone else's life tomorrow when we're settled.

    Sounds like you are making good time!  Hope the rest of your drive goes just as well, I'm sure you're more than ready to get yourself settled and situated :)

    So you took your LO on a 14.5 hour road trip on your own - AND YOU SURVIVED?! You are my new hero!

    I hope your last day on the road goes smoothly, and that you guys find a house SOON!

    Wow, the most we've done was 10 and that was with me in the backseat trying to entertain DD.

    I bet you're so anxious to stop driving and start the house-hunt. Good luck with it all!

    I'm glad you're surviving!!! That's pretty amazing! When we went to Florida last year the boys freaked out most of the way.
