Tell me about Arkansas

in September 2011 Moms

Specifically, the Bentonville/Rogers/Fayetteville area. Do you like it, is it kid-friendly? Zoos, museums, etc. or is it very boring there?

    My brother lived in Rogers!! It is a nice area. The university is nearby, so there is stuff to do. Lots of restaurants. Eureka Springs is a nice day trip. He lived there with no kids, so I can't quite comment on that, but with the companies that are based there, I'd bet it's pretty kid friendly. It is a dry county, just FYI :] ETA: was this supposed to be posted here?

    Yep it's supposed to be here. Smile I thought I'd ask you ladies to see if you had any opinions. There's a very remote potential that I could be up for a job there, but right now who knows.

    My mom is in AR, and she says that Fayetteville is the best part of the state! She travels the entire state and work for a university. I can ask her anything. AND you could drive to St Louis and see me!

    I don't know those exact areas, but we drive through Arkansas twice every year on a road trip, and the people are very nice. (versus where we live, and strangers ignore you)

    Looks like it's going to be more of a long-term plan, but the more I research the more it seems like it would be a much better place to raise J than Tampa. I will PM you if I have questions.
