Swollen eye, ear infection?

My LO has had a cold for a little under a week. She had her 6 month doc appt yesterday and I mentioned to the doctor that she was tugging on her ear so the doctor checked and said no ear infection. Today she woke up with a swollen eye (on the same side that she has been tugging her ear). Is a swollen eye a sign of an ear infection?

    If she has any kind of an infection bad enough to swell her face or eye, I would definitely call the doctor ASAP.

    Not that I've ever seen or heard of. It can be a sign of pink eye or a sinus infection, though. I'd call your doctor right back and get LO in.
