I just got back from my doctors appointment- I am 30 weeks today and measuring 32 weeks (when I went at 27 weeks for my glucose test I was measuring 28 weeks)..I kind of asked what this meant and the doctor said they don't worry until they are ahead 3-4 weeks and I wish I had asked more about what that meant but I always feel rushed...does this possibly mean she will come a little early or that she may just be big when I deliver her? I know it may mean nothing because of many things, but just say the measurements are correct, does anyone know what it could mean? Or has experienced this already?
Re: Doctor appointment today...
It could mean a lot of things, or it could mean nothing. Usually if you are measuring a few weeks ahead, you'll get a growth u/s. I had one during my last pregnancy after consistently measuring ahead. I had a little more amniotic fluid than usual and a slightly larger than average baby (8 lbs. 1 oz. at birth at 40w3d, so definitely not huge). Mostly, it's the way I carry.
I just got back from my 30w appt and am measuring at 33w again. Again, it's likely just the way I carry and a slightly bigger baby. They'll do a growth u/s again around 35-36w (which is good because she also thinks the baby is currently breech by feel, so it'll be nice to know for sure).
