Feeling Nervous about first ultrasound

Hello ladies! We are scheduled to have our first ultrasound today (7 weeks exactly), and I'm feeling so nervous.  This is our third pregnancy.  I have an 18 month old, and our second pregnancy ended in a missed miscarriage back in August.  I have been so nauseous, with vomiting several times a day (not bad enough to go to the ER, but bad enough to not want the mcdonalds fries I always love), and of course super sore boobs, and bloating.  I haven't had any warning signs or any bad symptoms, which is good, but I'm just feeling nervous.  Our appointment is this afternoon.  Prayers, good thoughts, and words of encouragement are greatly appreciated.  :)  Thank you all so much <3

  • Good luck!!! I"m sure everything will be fine... I have my ultrasound tomorrow, and I can't wait... I'm further along now than I was when I had a miscarriage (5 years ago)... I didn't think I wanted anymore kids, but now that my ultrasound is scheduled I'm so excited...

Let us know how everything goes!!! I'm sending prayers your way!

  • How did your appointment go?
  • Everything went really well yesterday!  We saw a beautiful little heart beat, and a perfectly round yolk sack.  According to LMP we should be at 7 weeks but my cycles have been crazy since our miscarriage and I'm sure that I ovulated later.  Everything they calculate is based on a 28 day cycle.  So, that said, we were measuring about a week behind but the doctor didn't seem concerned at all.  We have to go in again next week to make sure that the baby is growing and that all is going well, but I have a good feeling about it.  Thanks for all the well wishes everyone.  Although, technically, I'm not in the August birth club anymore... I guess I'm bumping over to September!  :)
