My little guy will not drink formula. This has not been a problem until now as he is EBF, but I am going to be eliminating a pumping session at work so I think I will need to supplement a bottle a day with formula. I have tried several brands to no avail (Enfamil Gentlease, standard Enfamil, Similac and Earth's Best). He absolutely refuses to drink it! I had to leave work early on Friday to feed him as my MIL ran out of BM. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm assuming that I could try mixing the formula and BM, but I don't know what else I could do. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!!
Re: Won't drink formula??
This... I would start with mixing it in with BM... and each week dwindle down the amount of BM ratio to the formula...
GL!!!
I had to mix for almost a month before K would take formula straight. (We just switched a two months ago.) I also tried a bunch of different brands and finally tried Target's version of the Gentlease and he drank it with no problems. He's a cheap date.
Keep at it. Start with more BM then formula and slowly decrease the amount of BM to formula.
Formula does taste pretty awful compared to BM.
