Dealing with teething - soft food ideas?

So, my almost 3 year old is FINALLY getting her last set of molars in.  She's always been on the late-ish side for teething, but it's been so long, I swear I forgot she is still missing teeth.  This time, it's affecting her eating more - she takes a few bites, and then says her mouth hurts and doesn't want to eat anymore.  Tonight, I made her mac and cheese with peas(her favorite) and she did eat it, although she said her mouth hurt several times during dinner.  Any other ideas for meals I can give her that include soft foods?  I guess I'm mostly concerned with protein because she's been refusing all meat.  She's not picky except for spicy foods.  Oh, and she had the flu a week ago, so I think she's tired of applesauce and chicken soup.

  • We do Greek yogurt frozen drops. There's quite a bit of protein in the yogurt and the cold feels good on the gums. Will she do refried beans with cheese? Beans, in general, are pretty soft; you could try a bean soup.
