FABULOUS! And sex this morning was out of this world
DH and I had shared some fantasies with eachother last weekend, so I decided to surprise him with one of his.
It didn't hurt nearly as much as I thought it would. Don't judge that I did it while pregnant -- I got dr's permission first. )
Re: Brazilian waxes are .... (maybe TMI)
I was sooo nervous, but I think the adrenaline helped. I took one Tylenol beforehand, but other than that didn't really "prep" in any way. I will say that the gal that waxed me highly recommends "No Scream Cream," (https://www.relaxnwax.com/retail) about 30 minutes before, which is basically a topical numbing cream. I didn't want to use it, since I hadn't done any "research" on it and didn't know if it was OK while pregnant. But anyways, sounds like with that cream, especially, the pain isn't bad at all, even for the most sensitive.
I really can't explain how great it feels -- not just the sex, but just in general. I am not sure I will ever want to go back. LOL
I hear it gets less painful. I also hear it's more painful during pregnancy, just because our skin is sensitive. I figured if it didn't bother me too much this first time, which was during pregnancy, then it'd be a "breeze" not only next time, but also when I'm not pregnant.
I've thought about lasering, obviously can't do that while I'm pregnant. If you don't mind sharing, how much was that? You can PM me too, if you'd rather do that. I would have to convince MH that it would be worth the money not paying for razors and waxes. He's so analytical! :oP
This!!! Good for you!
I don't mind sharing at all! Actually I didn't have the greatest experience because I should have looked into my options. I went to an American Laser Center and it was expensive and took many, many sessions. I've heard going to a dermatologist's office is less expensive and quicker. If I ever do any other area, I will defintely go to a dermatologist!
I would never go to an ALC again. I was young and dumb lol.
But the hair is gone and has been for 3 years now! I defintely saved money in the long run because I was paying $75 plus tip each time for waxing.
Oh and I lasered my underarms too, which is awesome. I always had a "5 o'clock shadow" under my arms and had to shave them everyday, and lasering got rid of that.
I am paying the same for waxing. Thanks for the tip about dermatologist versus laser center -- I would have just guess the other way around!
When you started laser, did you still have to wax/shave some? Maybe you're not allowed to do that, I don't know.
How much was laser?
Okay, missy -- you're gorgeous! I assume you just mean you're insecure about having your lady parts flashed and touched by a stranger? If you get a really experienced person, they would probably make you feel really comfortable. I am completely insecure and way less pretty than you, but the lady I went to and the atmosphere in the waxing room were completely relaxing. I am sure the same could be true for getting lasered.
I had to shave the day of each appointment. So I would shave in the morning and then go to the appointment in the afternoon. But the nice thing about laser is that you can shave in between sessions and don't have to let it grow back like waxing.
I paid about $2000 for underarms and full bikini, but I've heard other places are cheaper. Again I didn't shop around enough! But since I was paying $90 total per wax (actually $115 when I used to wax my underarms too) then it has definitely paid for itself over the last few years!
I was nervous when I got pregnant with DD that it might grow back due to hormone changes, but luckily it didn't!
Hmmm, especially if it's a little cheaper just b/c of not doing underarms, I think I could totally justify that. Very interesting! I'll have to look more into after LO #2 is here and we've moved to St. Louis. Thanks!

I think shaving down there scares me way more than waxing. I cut myself once and never tried it again. Owie ....
Stop, you're making me blush
Yeah, the thought of my lady bits being touched my a stranger makes me a slight uncomfortable. And, you're beautiful. Maybe I can try the brazillian some time and see how it goes. I may have to drink some tequilla first...
I think I may have had something to drink beforehand, if I wasn't pregnant.
There's also that "No Scream Cream" that I talked about earlier, too -- it supposedly numbs the area really well.
The hair is supposed to come back finer and finer the more you do it. Also, my lady recommended this product to help with bumps, ingrowns, etc:
https://www.amazon.com/Relax-Wax-Bump-Outta-Here/dp/B0017JNVH2
It's the same brand as the "No Scream Cream" I had talked about previously in this thread.
I have notorious ingrowns from shaving along bikini line and to be honest, there's NONE there now. After waxing and using that product, everything is clear and I"m hoping it stays that way.
