Home from the Hospital

Paige was admitted Friday afternoon due to dehydration and her oxygen levels were low.

She was Diagnosed with Flu, Ear infection and bronchitis on Wednesday but took a turn for the worse on Friday. Apparently her bronchitis was so bad that it was mimicking pneumonia but it wasn't technically pneumonia. When they did Chest x-rays in the PICU the pneumonia didn't show up.

Her oxygen levels plummeted to 85 Friday which is dangerous and to 88 on Saturday morning. They kept trying to wean her off the oxygen but she couldn't stabilize it above 92 (94+ is safe, 96+ is normal)

We were however moved out of PICU Saturday evening and into a regular Peds room. Sometime during the night they unhooked her oxygen and she stabilized at 97.

Around 11am today we were told that we could leave. As we waited for our discharge papers Paige grabbed our hands and said, "Lets go!!"

By her 2 year appt on the 21st she was 23lb even. On wednesday Jan 2nd she was 22lb 10oz and Friday she was 22lb 3oz. Today she was 23lb 2oz!

So happy to be home.
