goin' to Belize!!!

A good friend from high school is having a destination wedding in Belize in April, and this summer had asked me to go. At the time Taylor had just been born, and I told her I wasn't sure, but since the price was so good (group rate) I went ahead and put down a deposit. I've been grappling with the decision to go or not for months. DH and I are financially pretty strapped. We have money in the savings account, but we were hoping to keep and add to it as a down payment on a future house. We also have pretty large tax returns coming our way this year, but again, had planned to put that in savings for said house. I had a long conversation with my mom about it, and we both agreed that life just isn't worth living if you can't take advantage of opportunities and just have fun once in a while. So, regardless of whether this is a financially responsible decision, looks like we're going on vacay! We'll be there on our 2nd wedding anniversary so I'm super excited! I also get to use it as further motivation for losing the remaining baby weight. Win/win. Now you can all help me feel less guilty by helping me justify going. Wink
