Hi! I posted something similar on the PAIF board...but slightly adjusting to a 'family' audience :)

I've posted a few times here lately but have lurked for a long time while going through my IVF. My partner and I are both over 40 and went straight to donor egg/sperm IVF when we started down the path to have a baby - even though we had hoped for a few simple IUI's. We were so lucky to have a BFP off our first cycle, with 3 frosties to boot! Our donors were 'very compatible' according to our RE. I'm just over 6 weeks, so still not out of the woods, but we saw the heartbeat and it feels real!

I've found this board to be one of the kindest and most inclusive on the bump. I checked out the Septemer 2013 board and it stressed me out so much (the nasty posts, fighting, etc.) I had to stop reading it after 30 minutes - I felt like my blood pressure was going up! I'm really grateful to have a safe place to hang, where I don't have to explain myself/our relationship situation, etc. You are all super cool and I'm glad you're here! We live in Seattle and there are buckets of gay parents, so we are lucky there are people around us, but it's great to have a place to go online!

Three of our 4 parents live far from us, so I'm keeping a blog for them, but also to print into a book for the baby to have. Further, I love to write - it's a huge outlet for me and I try to really work at it :) I'd love to have the readership of other lgbt folks reading - so if you're one to enjoy blogs, please follow mine! Sept. '12 - Tubes removed
Dec. '12 - Donor Egg/Donor Sperm IVF Cycle - 4 good embies!
Dec. '12 - Fresh transfer, BFP! EDD 8/29/13
Mar. '13 - Missed m/c at 16w1d, baby boy stopped growing at 15w4d
Loss due to umbilical cord clot...baby was perfect. :(
Jul '13 - FET#1 - c/p
Sept. '13 - FET#2 - BFN
Dec.' 2, 2013 - FET#3 with our last chance embie - BFP!!!
Dec' 26, 2013 - hb!!
EDD 8/20/14 with a baby girl!
Little S was born on 8/21/14 - 8lb, 14 oz and 20 inches long.
We live in Seattle and used SRM for our donor egg IVF cycle

    I've seen you on the IF board, I think -- and here of course -- but welcome, officially!  Glad to have you on board.  Congrats on your pregnancy.

    ET #1: 1 blast = BFP; Blighted ovum discovered at 7w5d; D&E
    FET #1: 1 blast = BFP; Missed m/c discovered at 9w5d; D&E
    Karyotyping: normal ~ RPL Testing: normal ~ Hysteroscopy: normal
    FET #2: 1 blast transferred 10/25; BFP 10/31!
    EDD 7/13/14 ~ Induced at 37w4d due to pre-eclampsia ~ Born on 6/28/14

    Yes! You actually invited me over here ?? I've thought of you often since your loss, I was so crushed when I saw your post about it. I was and am still rooting for you like mad!
