Any tips for getting through the hair washing process? LO just despises it.
We have tried letting her hold a wash cloth on her eyes so she doesn't feel overwhelmed with the water, we have tried having her help us pour the water on her head, we've tried showering (this used to work better when she didn't have much hair to wash. Now that it's longer, there's more rinsing and she doesn't like being under the spout that long).
We use Johnson's body wash for hair and body. I don't think it's a matter of stinging her eyes, she just doesn't like the water pouring over her.
Has anybody tried the visors that keep the water off their eyes? I try to get as little on her face as possible, but it's hard!
Right now we only wash her hair twice a week and it has been okay but as she gets more toddler-y and sweaty it's going to need more than that!

Ditto all of this. DH also sort of makes it a game to fill up the rinse pitcher, stand up, and then dump it near (not on) DS. He thinks this is a great game and asks DH to do it over and over. It sort of gets him used to the loud water splashing down too which maybe helps? Also, DS's been really into "floating" lately in the tub. Could you maybe get her to try floating on her back and rinse that way?
We have this, too. It works wonders
Hahaha, I was thinking the same thing. I always tell him to lean back but he won't, so I just dump three cups of water on his head in quick succession. He cries and then I wipe his face and say ALL DONE! and he's happy again.
Yes! Now I feel less bad
This is me too. I have one of the rubber lipped buckets but she's too squirmy to let me place it correctly, we also have a removable shower head, but she screams as soon as she sees it coming.
