k'tan question/how to wear a newborn

Hello ladies!  I have a 1 month old (9 lbs at birth, so probably 10-11.5 lbs now) that I would love to start wearing so I could get something done around the house, but seems to hate the k'tan I have.  It really seems like it is too small for him, but the website says that they are supposed to be very snug.  When I have him in, his head is cocked to the right, he won't let me tuck his knees to his chest like they suggest and he just screams.  Would you recommend a size up, or is there another wrap/sling that you would recommend?  I was a size 4/6 before pregnancy and am probably an 8 right now, if that helps.

Re: k'tan question/how to wear a newborn

  • I love my ktan, I still wear my 7 month old 15 lbs in it frequently. Try the explore position that one was out go to for when she was younger. It was great for napping in, BFing in, an just general wear as she could see the world if she wanted to or turn into me.
