What are you giving your nanny for Holidays?

I've only been back to work for two weeks, but I know we should still be generous with our nanny.  If you don't mind sharing, what will you be giving yours?  I was thinking of giving her the equivalent of one weeks pay.  Does that sound reasonable? TIA.

  • Thats what my Families always gave me and it made me more than happy! So yes- one weeks pay should cover it!

  • ok... thanks for the input!

  • One week's pay? ?Wow. ?I had better save up. ?I already got her a winter coat. ?I was planning to give her a couple other personal items (slippers, hat/scarf/gloves) and a little money. ?I didn't know that a week's pay was standard.

  • It might vary by geographic area. I'm in the NYC metro area and everything is more expensive here... christmas tips/presents included.
