Hi Everyone,

Its time again for our weekly check-in. This check-in is for anyone dealing with clotting disorders, or for anyone doing once or twice daily shots of Lovenox, Heparin, Clexane, Fragmin, Arixtra, etc. (you are also welcome if you are on any other blood thinners - coumadin, aspirin, etc.) This is a place for us to share our frustrations, worries and triumphs. Hi there, I'm brand new amp; checking in for the first time. I'm positive for Factor V Leiden amp; Prothrombin, as well as MTHFR, and begin Lovenox next Monday. My sister is positive for all 3, which we discovered during her pregnancy 3 years ago. I was tested well before geting pregnant, and knew what to expect in terms of treatment plan.nbsp;nbsp;My SO hasn't come to any appointments yet the clinic I go to is notorious for having long waits, his lunch hour would be eaten up just being in the waiting room but he will be coming to the HR OB with me on Monday, as their office is much better with being on time.nbsp;ETA: I'm allergic to salicylates, sonbsp;aspirinnbsp;is a nogo for me, I'm also Rh, amp; SO is , so I am schedule to receive a RhoGAM injection at 28 weeks. EDD 7/16nbsp;

I am new here. I am 16 weeks with baby 2 EDD June 18 and currently on daily full strength aspirin. I will likely be on lovanox for my third tri until delivery. I had a bad fall when DS was 2 months old and tore an artery in my leg which required immediate bypass surgery. Last year I got a blockage in that leg requiring angioplasty and was put back on Coumadin. That resulted in me bleeding internally and more surgery. I was on plavix for a while but my vascular surgeon is comfortable with me being on aspirin for now.

ETA: my DH does not come to my appts with me. He comes to some ultrasounds but that is usually it.

Hello! I am trucking right along, and am curious when or if I will be switched from Lovenox to something else (Heparin?). I'm a FTM so I don't really know what to expect, but have an appointment next week and chat with my OB about it.

Fiance has come to one ultra sound w/ the high-risk doctor and one OB appointment. It was great to have him there at the ultrasound, but not much else is exciting. In the beginning I wanted him to be there for EVERYTHING "to be supportive" but seriously- going to as many appointments that I do and knowing that it's not fun for me I totally get why he doesn't want to go either lol. I figure at least up until now there's no need for us to both be there. I invite him to come, but if he can't make it I completely understand.

I think most OB's will switch you to heparin around 36weeks. At least that's what mine did and I believe that's the general consensus.

Had a great week! Got to see little bean on Monday and finally given my official due date it's changed 4 times, which happens to just be the original 7/10 date! I have to change my siggy, but yay for coming the end of 1st tri!

My OB is an hr away and close to where I work, so DH rarely comes to my appts. He did come to the ultrasound on Monday which was nice. But I think from now on he will most likely just stay home with DD since she was a handful waiting in the office that day. Hopefully we can work it out for him to come to my dating/gender ultrasound and my MIL can babysit.

I went off of lovenox at 36 weeks Tuesday my OB decided not to switch me to heprin just baby aspirin so I am having daily panic attacks from being off of it. She did decide to induce at 39 weeks if baby hasn't come yet bc of the FVL and she is measuring small. So if she doesn't come before the night of the 23rd we will go in for an induction.

DH has actually gone to every appointment with me sometimes I wish he wouldn't but he wants to be involved in everything. Sometimes it's sweet sometimes I want to punch him.

5.5 more weeks on lovenox then switching to heparin. Now that my belly is so tight, it is getting harder every day to find a place for injections that won't cause bruising.... Very annoying!

DH skipped two appointments because I needed him at home prepping for the holidays more than I needed him at a regular check up. He's been with me for every other appointment though. I'm very thankful for his support, especially since our risk increased and we have extra appointments. He's been such a trooper.

Hey ladies,

I took a trimester long bump break as we moved into a new house and attempted to deal with holiday craziness. But my computer is finally back up and running so I thought I'd come do a first time check in.

I've been on Lovenox since about week 10, and am now at week 26. EDD is April, 15. I have Factor V Leiden (hetero) with a previous TIA. I'll be on Lovenox until 35 weeks when I'll switch to heperin. This is our second and I was not on any thinners with DD.

DH goes to all appointments with me, mostly so that someone can watch DD, but he came to all the appts when I was pregnant with her too. Big Smile
