The zipper on my boots broke and I bought them in November of 2010. I called the store up because they told me the boots had a lifetime guarantee on everything but the sole. MH bought them and he is good about keeping receipts. Well, he is not good at organizing them. We just spent over 2 hours looking through his receipts, he has kept every receipt since 2009. I mean every single one: burger king, gas station, ice cream cones at the park, car rental, movie ticket stubs and airline tickets.
No boot receipt though! He says he has bundles of reciepts at his work office too, so I'm crosssing my fingers it is there.
Do you keep receipts, and for how long?
Re: Do you keep receipts?
Oh actually we keep all receipts for when we travel or when SO travels for work....as all of his expenses his boss pays for for work travel and some expenses for our personal travel his boss with reimburse us for if SO met with a client for dinner or something.
We got a guest pass to the Columbia employee store for Christmas. They also have Mountain Hardware and Sorell in there. I was like a kid in a candy store. And then our friend who works for them put us on the family list so we can get in whenever we want. That's bad news for my bank account!
Lucky!! So jealous!!! Also, that scanner sounds like a really good deal for your husband, Penny. I keep receipts for about a year, only for things like clothes and big ticket items. If I've purchased them at Nordstroms I don't keep the receipts due to their return policy.
