So, two things:
1) At daycare they've been offering the potty if he wants to try. He's been adamantly refusing it. But guess what? This weekend he was SO interested in the potty and sitting on the potty at home. He actually pooped in the potty yesterday. Yay!
2) Dropped him off this morning. He was cautious going in but hugged his teachers when they asked him for hugs. When I started to walk out I saw his lower lip quiver and he started to whimper. So I took him over to the doctor set and said, "Hey! You were playing with this in the car this morning." He pulled it right out and started playing. No tears!
Re: Update on daycare transition.
Aww, good. We started DC in Aug and it was rough for a few weeks but generally it's good now. Some days he needs an extra hug still.
A few weeks ago I took Kayla and dropped her off but J was sick so I was taking him back home and he threw a full on level 5 tantrum in the parking lot b/c he wanted to go to school and see his friends. In a weird way that made me feel better that he wants to be there.
What a great transition this morning! And potty pooping on top of it!
B's switched rooms at daycare and while he did okay last week (only a few tears on the first day), he had a meltdown this morning after having the weekend together. It was hysterically pathetic. His new classroom is upstairs and he was crying as he was struggling up the stairs. I asked if he wanted to be picked up and he said: ::cry cry sniff:: Beckett ::cry cry:: Do it. ::cry cry cry::.
BFP #2 5/27/12. EDD 2/1/13. m/c and D&C 6/21/12.
J officially started his new room today and came home excited and exhausted. He kept talking about Beau, Anna and Ethan from his new room until he fell asleep. So cute.
hooray on both accounts!
@kj - that is so sad & cute!
