Became a December Mummy!

When I originally found out I was pregnant I was on this board with a due date of New Years Eve. Then my date was changed to January 5th, so I moved over to the January board.

Well apparently I was destined to be a December Mummy after all.

On December 18th at 3:32 pm Irelyn Rowan was born after an induction at 7 lbs 3 oz. 3 weeks early!

I was induced due to a stable placenta abruption. I had been in the hospital for 4 days before they decided that she was safer out than in as the bleeding and clotting kept coming and going and they were worried about things become a whole lot less stable.

I was in labour for 4 hours before she was born. They ended up needing to use a vacuum some because her heart rate started to drop when I started pushing. She ended up being Sunny Side Up which likely explains the drop in heart rate!
