I'm looking into doing the Fresh 20, but I'm wondering how common the ingredients are and the difficulty level of the recipes... Anyone have any experience? Opinions?

Re: Anyone done the Fresh 20? (NBR obviously)
This?
It's a program where once a week they send you a grocery list with 20 ingredients and 5 recipes fit for a family of four... the ingredients are supposed to be fresh and seasonal. Here's the website: www.thefresh20.com - And there's a Groupon right now!
I just looked it up - looks like it is a program where they email you recipes and shopping list for those recipes weekly.
Like Lopes, I did it for a brief time period...
Pros:
Meal planning is done for you
Shopping list is done for you
Some meals are healthy
Cons:
Can get repetetive
Some recipes, although "fresh" are not exactly healthy
If you don't like some of the recipes, you may end up wasting food
Lacked flexibility in planning (IMO)
I like some of the idea it would generate and I would try things I might not have thought to try, but in the end, I need flexibility in my week and this didn't have that.
I think some of the items can be expensive (Halibut, certain cheese) and the program assumes that you have 20 standard items in your pantry in addition to the 20 items you would buy for your week. That may take some work getting the pantry up to snuff.
Interesting! I'd try it, as long as you can get out of it if you find out that it's not for your family.
