March 2012 Moms

what a day

And it isn't even 9am yet.

-Aunt Flo finally showed up on Saturday. And now, I'm bleeding to death. lol. And to think, I used to think I had heavy periods in high school and college. They have nothing on these ones. Like, I never had to buy super tampons before and now I can fill one in 3 hours or less. Not. Impressed. I pretty much can't go anywhere until it backs off some.

Hoping it is over by Friday. We have our anniversary getaway. Lately, they've been lasting like 10 days though. Sad

-DD has been crying at anything and everything. Put her down for a nap already. She doesn't normally go down until around 10.

-Usually go grocery shopping on Monday mornings but didn't happen. Would normally be almost done and on my way home by now. But between my issue and DD, staying home today. She needs her lead blood work done (which I forgot about). So will just go into town tomorrow and do that and the shopping. Thankfully, it isn't an appt thing, just as long as I go in this week.

Meanwhile, I'll sit and enjoy my coffee with pumpkin spice creamer while watching Phineas and Ferb (don't judge. lol) while going though DD's outgrown clothes to give to a friend who is having her 2nd child but first girl in May. Smile

That really stinks!  I have/can get periods that hard and bad.  Not fun!  I hope and Flo lightens up a bit on her deal.  I also hope that dd feels better from whatever is ailing her too.  Mmmmm the creamer sounds delish!  I'm sipping my coffee right now and wishing for some to float my way.

Thanks. The weekend is nonrefundable. It was how I got the good deal. I took a little of DH's storm money before I paid bills, etc. so we could do something fun. We need some baby-free time. But baby-free time and the flow.....yea, not so much fun.

I wish this creamer wasn't seasonal. Fall flavors and scents are my favorite. Before DD, I would burn fall candles all year. Smile

  • Sorry in advance if this is a really dumb question... It's been a long day already.

Is burning scented candles around your LO dangerous for some reason or are you just afraid they'll knock it over somehow?

I don't burn them during the day so she doesn't knock them over and by night, I am tired and don't feel like it. lol.

  • Haha, ok thanks.  I got worried for a second that I was unaware of some weird thing where you are not allowed to burn scented candles around babies!  Weird I know.  Often times raising a baby seems mostly like common sense or personal preference when it comes to certain things, but on occasion there are things that everyone needs to know - like no honey before a year.  I'm always anticipating that I'm messing something up by mistake!
