Who's watching Downton Abbey?

I have never seen it before but I keep hearing so much about it. I even heard a couple of stories on NPR this week. I plan on watching tonight and I am very excited about it! Is there anything I really need to know to get me up to speed?

    I DVRed it, so I'll probably watch tomorrow. I agree you really need to try to watch from the beginning if possible. There is so much that has happened up to this point. I recently watched all of the previous seasons on amazon prime. I'm totally hooked. I can't wait to see what happens this season!

    We watched almost all of it last night.  I've got season 1 and 2 on hold at the library.  We made it 'till 10:30 until we couldn't last any longer and went to bed. What an awesome show!! Of course last night was the night that C wanted to wake up at 11:05, 3:00am, and 4:50am.  Awesome.

    I don't watch this, but I want to say I just figured out that it is Downton Abbey and not Downtown Abbey!

    I watched it last night and really enjoyed it! I will have to take your advice and watch the first 2 seasons very soon. 

    Chunstad, I am so sorry that your DS woke up so much last night. I hope he is feeling better very soon and sleeps better as well. I am also hoping that you can get a bit of rest today.

    Ugh, thanks.  FFMC, I gave him a dose of Advil at the last wake-up session.  I'm assuming it was due to his molar, but I don't know for sure.  I just wanted him to shut the eff up..oh, and to feel better, too Wink  Yes, MOTY.

    About season 1 and 2, I see that they are available at RedBox, if you have those near you.  It looks like there were two RedBoxes that have the season#1 by me, but they are about 30 min. away, and I don't feel like driving today after last night.  They are $1.30 for the day, and it looks like season 1 is 6 hours long.  You can rent them through your library, but you might have to wait.
