Re: Boba Carrier

  • I just received a boba carrier at my shower yesterday.  One of my good friends just loved it.  It seems a bit intimidating when I look at the huge length of fabric, but the instructions seem relatively simple.  I'm going to practice tonight with a doll or stuffed animal to make sure I can figure it out...

  • I assume you're talking about the soft-structured carrier?  I think they have a stretchy wrap now as well.

When we switched from a stretchy wrap to a SSC we went with the Boba.  I really like it and have been really happy with the quality.  I like that it has the foot straps for toddlers and I believe it also has a higher back support part (if that makes sense, the part that the baby's back rests on) than the Ergo.  It also has longer adjustable straps for the wearer (around the waist and I think shoulders too, but I know definitely longer around the waist).

  • We love LOVE love our Boba. It is a bit tricky to figure out how to back carry by yourself the first few times though. It does extend a bit higher than the Ergo so makes it a bit sturdier for older toddlers. We went to Sea World a month ago and I wore it on my back for a while with my 20 month old and she passed out (I have the cutest pictures too) because she was so comfy. My husband wears my 3 year old sometimes too. I highly recommend them!!

  • I got the Boba Air for a shower gift. It's super light and compact (folds in to a little bag) so I plan to keep it in my stroller in case I need to carry instead of stroll. Haven't tried it yet though obviously. I'm a city girl so this won't be my only carrier (also have Moby and looking at Beco Butterfly 2 -- my cousin recommended it highly).  :)
