I'm going to do an official intro post soon, but just wanted to ask some advice real quick. What all did you take from the hospital? DH and I were just wondering what they are already going to charge us for so we should just take home anyway.
TIA, Amber
Re: Oh hi there!
They gave us two of those numbing spray things and some lanolin. Those had my sticker name things on them though. We got two knit hats and an extra set of onsies.
They also gave a bag of pumping stuff after we told them I had the medela pump. I think we got some formula coupons/samples as well.
Bring an empty bag to carry it home.

Hey!! Our nurse told us anything disposable, I could take. pump parts, pads, mesh panties, diapers, rash cream, the pads they lay under you so you don't get blood all over the bed. They also gave me 3 bags of goodies. Thermometeter, bottle/pump parts cleaning brush, a thermal bag, etc. I'd just ask the nurses what they think.

My BFP Chart
We were allowed to take anything that wasn't linens. For myself I took the peri bottle, large diaper pads, witch hazel pads and I even asked for an extra container, mesh panties, lanolin (sp?) for my breasts , a cooling spray..forgot the name now.
For the baby we were allowed to take hats, diapers, suction bulb, vaseline for circ, comb.
Congrats again! It will feel great to get out of there I'm sure!

We went home with pretty much anything that wasn't nailed down, lol.
A bunch of pads, formula samples, extra tubung and syringes (he was supplemented by syringe with formula until my milk came in fully), a receiving blanket, a cap, nipple shields, the suction bulb, a thermometer they'd used on him, the bin and pitcher they had in there for me to use (that pitcher was awesome when I was BF'ing in the newborn stage and the bin was handy for getting blowout casualties from the nursery to the washer), diapers...and probably more I'm not thinking of. Pretty much they said if it was disposable and open, it was fair game. They did clear out the unopened packages of formula and diapers when they found out we were going to be discharged though.
We didn't get a goody bag for a parting gift, either.

Ha! Yes.
Lots of folks are saying they didn't take linens, but we did actually take two of the receiving blankets that DD was swaddled in while we were there. We never asked, and I doubt they noticed.
