Has anyone tried this? I downloaded the app and have played with it but I am curious is anyone else has.

    Our IF/TTC journey since Nov 2012.

    Me: dx of DOR in Nov. 2012. Low AMH, AFC - 6, Normal FSH, SS-A (RO) Antibodies (Autoimmune issues), tubes clear, Sono (November 2013) NORMAL! <p>

    7 IUI's - December 2012-September 2013.  Medicated, Injected, Triggered.... all BFN.

    Normal AMH & FSH, AFC ~27, blocked tube dx'd via HSG in 2012.   Hydrosalpinx & ovarian cyst dx'd in May 2013.
    dx of Stage IV Endo & bilateral salpinectomy in June 2013.

    Partner IVF#1a- December 2013 - H's eggs, my Ute - CANCELLED due to low response
    Partner IVF #1b - February 2014 - H's eggs, my Ute - ER February 4 (10 retrieved, 3 fertilized), Transfer Feb 7 of one Grade 1 and one Grade 2 day 3 embryos.  1 - Day 3, Grade 1 frosty saved.   BFP - 6dp3dt via FRER, Beta #1 - 110, Beta #2 175, Beta #3 - 348, Beta #4 - 2222!, Beta #5 - 4255.  Ultrasound (6w1d) - 2 heartbearts!  

    We lost our beautiful Twin baby girls on June 18, 2014.  Tavin Sara and Casey Elizabeth were born at 21 weeks gestation and were absolutely beautiful, precious, amazing babies.  We miss our daughters every day and love them with all our hearts.

    I had it for a few weeks and it only found 2 other people in the Houston area.  Now it finds about 20.  I think it is gaining speed and people are starting to use it.

    I am actually crossing my fingers it continues to pick up speed as I think it is a great tool to finding other families in our area with kids.

    It's a phone app for either smart phone platform.  It is designed to help you find other LGBT families in your area.  It is free to download and play with but if you wish to actually contact anyone within the app it is $2.99 one time.

    So far my opinion is the search design is horrible as when creating your profile you are only asked for your home town not your current town of residence.  I originally actually used my home town (a ways from where I live now) and it found no one.  When I set it to Houston (the city I am closest too) it found several families.  With this if people are actually using their home town and not their current city of residence then the search could be null and void.  

    I sent in a question to the creator for clarification if it is using your current location or home town for finding families near you.

    In Houston there is a LGBT parenting group that meets monthly and does things every so often. It is fairly large with about 30 families that are active.   I have not been to any of these gatherings yet as the monthly meeting does not work with our schedules and most of them are done ttc and have kids ages 5+.  It is a dinner at 5:30pm in Houston so we would not have time to make it with M working until 5pm on the other side of town. 

    I downloaded the app in hopes of finding people on our side of town.  I was just curious if anyone else had any success with it as it's not the easiest app to use.

    Also 2moms2twins, I know you run a local group in your area.  How did you start this?  I am hoping to start one closer to our side of town or maybe not start a new group per say but doing a different weekly dinner for people on our side of town.  I have seen from the messages that get passed around the group people on our side of Houston do not regularly make the events due to distance and timing.
