We on our way home from our holiday trip to my parents, and tomorrow starts the work to get the baby weight off! I have 23 lbs to lose to get down to pp weight, and then another 15 after that to get to my wedding weight. Needless to say, I have my work cut out for me.
Im going to hit the grocery store and do a total overhaul of the food in our house. Whats your favorite healthy food/snack/desert/drink?? My plan is to use the loseit app on my phone (it worked for me before i got pg) and count calories.
My other dillema is working out. The YMCA in our town will not take ds at their childcare until he is 12 mos. I live in upstate NY and its WAY to cold to take the kids out walking around town with the stroller. My only option is to walk the indoor track around the hockey rink at the ymca with ds while dd is in preschool (at the y also). I can do this Tuesday and Thursday and walk for 45 min to an hour. I SUCK at doing dvds at home cause I always feel like I can make 20 excuses of things I need to be doing instead (laundry, cleaning, etc). Once the weather cooperates (like, not windchill of 20 below) I plan on taking the kids out walking in the stroller around town. Im always moving around the house, the only time I chill on the couch is from 9-10pm when DH and I have a quiet hour together, most days im running around after dd and ds.
Is that enough or does anyone have any suggestions? I need all the help I can get, being this overweight is making me so sad and judgemental on myself!!
Re: Need Ideas/Help!
I could have literally written your post. You are not alone. Especially the last part. My friends can do the night thing but they are all divorced. Dh and I need that'd own time. I also work a little more than part time so it's tough to get it all in.
For me I'm doing the workout first and I know the food will naturally follow. I actually got a wii and trying to involve the kids a bit. Winter is so tough just like for you.
As for snacks n foods. The special k foods are great. Including the cereal. I drink tons of vitamin water zero. Obviously fruits n veggies. I also began juicing. Love fiber one bars to replace candy. I'm not in to artificial sweeteners at all so food is tricky for me.
Good luck!

Notes:
I'm PG with my first child, so I don't have time constraints that you have, yet, but I still have trouble getting motivated to get to the gym as much as I should. I do have the weather in my favor, so I can walk/jog outside.
Normally, I would say start a good gym routine and the healthy eating will follow because you will want to feed your hard working body better, but in your case go hardcore with light eating since you know you won't be able to work out as much. Add in silly little bits of exercise throughout the day. I'll do squats while brushing my teeth, make extra trips to get the laundry, go up and down the steps more than I need to. Those little baby work outs look cute, like push ups over your baby and squats/lunges while holding LO.... I don't know if people actually do them but I dream that I will while on maternity leave, maybe I'm seriously delusional! GOOD LUCK!
*By hardcore with light eating I don't mean a crazy fad diet, just really clean out the junk and follow your plan on your app.
