Everybody disappears

Everyone disappears on the weekends. I'm happy that all of you have lives. But, where are my interwebs friends?!?!

Re: Everybody disappears

  • I spent the day in the car, and haven't been on since Thursday. Notan  ideal internet situation at MILs, so I didn't get on.

Now I'm supposed to be packing for my insane semi-cross-country trip on Monday, but I'm too overwhelmed with all of our stuff we brought from Hawaii, PLUS Christmas gifts, PLUS baby stuff that I left here when I went back to Hawaii. I'm thinking we needed the large SUV instead of the mid-size. Pfft. Looks like I have to go get boxes tomorrow and just pack half of it for my mom to ship.

Oh...and I'm only using my laptop at the moment under the guise of checking the weather and road conditions for my trip... Shhh...don't tell my mom I'm slacking Wink

Now retreating from interwebz until I've accomplished something useful...

  • Ladybug, that all sounds exhausting. I cannot wait for you guys to finally be settled in!

I'm here. DH and I just spent an hour looking at houses in different neighborhoods and talking about what kind of remodel we could do to make this condo work for our family of 5. I am just so tired of not knowing when/where we're going to live. I want to make plans. I want to pack things and know when I'll be able to unpack them. My patience is running thin, apparently.

  • I am trying really hard to be screen free while LO is awake as a resolution. And I too am driving cross country Monday. I am going sans baby so I am trying to make things easy on DH while I am gone. Gotta go pack...

  • Ugh...I'm still being a slacker. My stuff just refuses to pack itself.

You have to be just as exhausted as I am - I totally understand the bolded part above. This has been my life. I've been a royal pain to live with, so that's why I decided to cut my stay with my family short and just go. I NEED A PLACE TO LIVE, not just a list of possible houses and a stack of suitcases.

Remodeling sounds like so much fun, though - probably because I watched waaaay to much HGTV while at MIL's house. I'm sure it's not nearly as fun and stress-free as it appears on the shows, though!

If it does get to the point where we decide to not move, I plan on giving my keys to our contractor and then pack up the kids and go spend a week or two at my parents. Or maybe go on an actual vacation (hey a remodel would save us a ton of money vs buying a new house, right?). All I know is I DO NOT want to be around - with 3 kids to boot - for that. lol

  • I'm dying over here. 36ish weeks pregnant with a toddler who is deep in the throes of the terrible twos and a husband who got a promotion at work that has led to later hours.

But I still lurk, don't worry!! Insert winky face from mobile bumping.

  • Hi everybody!!!!

We're in the same place as a lot of you. Now that we're going to have three kids there's no way we can be even a little comfortable in our home. I can't wait to get this house sold, finish packing up our stuff and actually move.

We've had half of our belongings packed up for over 6 months. We need to move on.

I've been thinking about you.  Are you doing okay?  Or as okay as can be expected?

I'm doing pretty good considering. I have a friend of a friend who went through this awhile back and we met up friday for lunch. She gave me so much hope. I decided it was time to move forward and quit sulking. We'll finish up the medical aspect (the last bit of closure I need) of the pregnancy on Wednesday and I'll meet with my MW and discuss what's next. I think she will be fine with us ttc again whenever we are emotionally ready. So physically, I'm doing well. Emotionally, I wonder why and wish things had been different but now there is nothing that can be done but move forward. So that's what we're doing!

I also was lent the book "Heaven is For Real". It gave me comfort in knowing that even though our baby wasn't whole in the womb, it's innocence carried him/her to Heaven and we'll meet again one day.
